The National Conciliator issued a conciliation proposal late on Sunday evening, 14 June 2026, in the labour dispute at universities of applied sciences.
The proposal will now be processed by the governing bodies of the negotiating parties. YTN will either approve or reject the proposal on its part on Tuesday. The parties will present their responses to the proposal on Tuesday at 4 pm, after which we will provide further information. The proposal is confidential until the negotiating parties have stated their positions.
This is the second conciliation proposal issued by the National Conciliator. On 11 May 2026, the National Conciliator issued a proposal that was approved by YTN and OAJ. However, the employer side represented by Sivista rejected the proposal at that time.
If the proposal is accepted by all parties this time, a new collective agreement will enter into force. We will provide details of the content of any new agreement in a separate newsletter after it has been approved.
