On 18 November, the Industrial Union announced that it would initiate pressure measures in the technology industry in December if no agreement is reached before then. Trade Union Pro also announced similar measures. More detailed information on these pressure measures can be found on the websites of the Industrial Union and Pro.
The announced pressure measures do not apply to senior salaried employees working in the technology industry. The Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff YTN will continue negotiations on the collective agreement for senior salaried employees in the technology industry on 19 November and in the consulting sector on 26 November. Our goal is still to renew our agreements before they expire.
Our collective agreements are valid until 30 November 2024, and until then, the industrial peace obligation is also in force. If a solution to the new collective agreement is not reached by the end of November, we will switch to a so-called non-contractual state.
Our above-mentioned collective agreements include an entry on the arbitration board, which starts its work after the collective agreement has expired and if the ongoing negotiations do not lead to a result. The arbitration board must be given at least two weeks to seek a solution. During this time, YTN cannot make a decision on or announce any pressure measures.
In the event of strikes announced by the Industrial Union and Pro, senior salaried employees will stay in their own duties. If you are subject to the collective agreement for employees or salaried employees of the technology industry at your workplace, contact your own YTN union for more detailed instructions.
