Applying for strike allowance for the technology industry

YTN will pay strike allowance to the members of YTN’s member unions who participate in the strikes of the technology industry on 28 February, 7 March, 14 March and 21 March. The allowance is paid for the days when the member has been on strike and not on a shift pursuant to the work schedule.

You must make a separate application for each strike day. You can apply for strike allowance on the day of the strike at 2 p.m. at the earliest. You can apply for the allowance through our system for one month from the day of the strike. If you apply for the allowance after this, please contact your union.

The strike allowance is EUR 90 per strike day. EUR 16 of the allowance is tax-exempt, the excess (EUR 74) is subject to a 40% tax prepayment. A tax card is not required.

Each strike day will have its own form, so make sure that you apply for the allowance for the right day.

You can sign in to our strike assistance system with your online banking IDs.

More detailed instructions about strike allowance are available here.

When you are allowed to apply for the strike allowance, a link will appear here.
