The collective agreement negotiations for the autumn are underway again and will be relevant in the coming weeks. The agreements for the technology industry will be the first to expire at the end of November.
There are a total of three agreements: an agreement for the technology industry, an agreement for the consulting sector and an agreement for the IT services industry. More than 100,000 senior salaried employees are within the scope of these agreements.
Most of YTN’s agreements are valid until the beginning of 2025, which means the collective agreement negotiations will continue to be relevant after this autumn.
Negotiations with the Technology Industry Employers of Finland began on 17 September for the technology industry’s agreement, on 18 September for the consulting sector and on 26 September for the IT services industry.
Since the negotiations are about tens of millions of euros for both employees and employers, negotiating and agreeing on the agreements is no easy feat or a given. In order to succeed, we also need strong support from our members and shop stewards. It is therefore worthwhile to closely monitor the communications of our sectors.
You can find general information about the negotiation round and our goals on our negotiations page. In addition, we will organise company-specific Teams events about the negotiation round in several sectors in the autumn. The events are open to all senior salaried employees. At these events, we will explain our goals in more detail, among other things.
YTN negotiates national and company-specific collective agreements for experts and supervisors. Through our member unions, we represent nearly 178,000 senior salaried employees in the private sector. As a member of a YTN union, you are involved in developing a better working life!
