Ban on flexibility starts 3 Mar on YTN Consulting Sector

YTN has declared a “ban on flexibility” for the YTN Consulting Sector, starting on Monday, 3 March 2025.

The aim of these pressure measures is to expedite the resolution of the collective agreement negotiations. Negotiations for the collective agreement for YTN Consulting Sector have been ongoing for about five months. The previous collective agreement expired at the end of November.

The main disagreement is particularly about the general increase. The employer is pushing for a salary solutoin without any general increase for everyone. In a survey conducted in the YTN Consulting Sector in November 2024, 89% of respondents stated they were ready to take action to defend the general increase.

This ban is currently in effect until 31 March 2025. The ban on flexibility means a prohibition on traveling for work during free time and a prohibition on accumulating flex time. There is currently no overtime ban, so senior salaried employees in the industry can agree with their employer to work overtime if they wish. The employer must pay overtime compensation according to the law.
