The Association of IT sector employees and the Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff (YTN) submitted another IT services sector strike warning to the Finnish National Conciliator on 31 October 2011. These organisations together represent more than 90 per cent of organised employees working in the sector concerned.
The industrial dispute concerns collective bargaining in the IT services sector between the Association of IT sector employees, the Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff and the Federation of Finnish Technology Industries. A collective agreement in the sector expired on 30 September 2011 and negotiations on a new agreement have been inconclusive. The dispute has focused particularly on the size and implementation of salary increases.
The new stoppage will begin at 06.00 on Tuesday 15 November 2011 and end at 23.00 on Friday 18 November 2011 unless a new collective agreement has been concluded before this time.
The strike will expand to affect a significant part of operations in the following enterprises: Tieto Corporation, Tieto Finland Ltd, Logica Suomi Ltd, Fujitsu Finland Ltd, Accenture Services Ltd, Oy International Business Machines Ab (IBM), Capgemini Finland Ltd, Oracle Finland Ltd, Aditro Ltd and Cybercom Plenware Ltd.
A ban on overtime and work-related travel during time off has been applied in the IT services sector since 20 October 2011 and continues in force.
